Good location but not cheap
Outdated hotel on a nice location
Pro's
Cheap (for Singapore standards)
Always rooms available
Location
Con's
Truly badly trained/ unmotivated staff
New package tourist will arrive every day
Outdated hotel
Smelly rooms
Breakfast is below avarage
Internet will be charged SGD 28 a day!
No non smoking rooms
Sauna not working (for long time already)
We chose this place for the easy distance to the National Eye Center, where I had surgery. We found the location perfect - Chinatown and Clarkes Quay in walking distance and a nice view over the river and the hotel skyline.
The rooms are small, but not unpleasant, due to the big windows. Bath and bathtub us really small.
Price for room seemed OK, but the addons are a ripp-off: Breakfast at 11 S$ is a joke, internet at 25 s$ per 24 hours is a scandal, if you know that there is free WiFi in Singapore available.

Convinent for stopover
I had a one night stopover in Singapore and stayed here principally for its location. It was close to Clarke Quay / Boat Quay and within walking distance of Chinatown. The room was comfortable, clean and the service very efficient. My only gripe was the noise coming from the air conditioning or lifts which was constant and quite noisy. As a result, I didn't get a great night's sleep. Apart from that though I would stay here again.
