he generally sleepy TripleOne Somerset (no, not 313@ Somerset, but the building on the opposite side on Somerset Road) takes a turn for the boisterous with this sleekly designed, Hong Kong-originated Chinese hotpot restaurant replete with booths, electric stoves and patterned, wood-panelled tabletops. The interactive menu will have the meekest-looking office clerks coming out of their shells – there are options for every step, starting from the choice of ten broths to the fish, vegetables and carbs. The most upmarket and raved about of three Imperial Treasure establishments at TripleOne – the other two are next-door casual eatery Windows of Hong Kong and a bakery – this steamboat restaurant is also the most enclosed. But don’t worry about steam fogging up the airspace – ceilings are tall and the air-conditioning is strong.
