The history of Kim's Fried Hokkien Mee dates back to the early 60s, when founder Tan Kue Kim, more popularly known as Kim,began working as a modest apprentice learning for the first time how to fry Hokkien Prawn Mee at Changi Village.
Though at a young age, Kim has indigenously conceived his very own secret recipe concocted with his own blend of yellow noodles, fresh ingredients and sauces, and made perfect with his skillful frying techniques. Kim's passion and love for Fried Prawn Mee grew deep in his heart, after seeing the delights and fulfillment of his customers, many of whom came all the way from overseas to savour his cooking.
Kim's business grew and he finally opened his very own Kim's Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee Stall along Changi Road in the year 1965, bringing customers a haven to enjoy the best local delight in town. Success has indeed clothed Kim very smartly. In fact, many of the customers would recognize Kim as an archetypal well-dressed Chinese Towkay, wearing a long sleeve, replete in designer belt and bejeweled golden Rolex even though he attacks the wok with mandotary gusto. Kim's unique clothing style however soon evolved into a celebrated trademark associated with his famous Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee!
Today, Kim's has created a wide menu of over 70 varieties of traditional local delights served with a blend of irresistible taste, highest food quality and excellent customer service.
