Michelangelo's is the flagship restaurant the Michelangelo’s Restaurant Group. Since it opened in September 1995, it has become one of Singapore’s most popular Italian restaurants. It is located along the expatriate enclave of Holland Village, adjacent to its sister restaurant Original Sin. Also include as part of it restaurant stable is Zambuca Italian Restaurant and Bar at Pan Pacific Singapore.
The restaurant strikes a delicate balance between fine dining and a warm, comfortable, inviting atmosphere. The walls and ceilings feature reproductions of the Italian artist Michelangelo , and the main dining area is softly lit with candles, providing an intimate and cozy ambience in which customers can relax and unwind after a long day. Al fresco seating is also available for patrons who prefer to dine outdoors.
Michelangelo's menu puts an innovative spin on Italian cuisine, balancing traditional elements with Asian spices to create a provocative array of selections. Aside from grills, healthy salads and unique appetizers, the restaurant is known for its wide selection of pastas. Signature pasta dishes include Vongole Ancona, with live clams simmered in white wine and fresh herbs, served with angel hair pasta and fresh tomato concasse; and Fettucine Tandoor, which marries tandoor-spiced chicken slices with fettucine in a spicy tomato sauce. Chef’s specials are also created daily. Servings are generous and a selection of pastas and appetizers can be shared by two.
