In 1995, we opened My Mum's Cuisine at Holland Village. Our aim is to provide a true Peranakan and Hainanese cuisine at an affordable price, in an unpretentious and cozy setting. In 1998, we relocated to the heart of Singapore's shopping district. However, you will be glad to know that some things remain constant, such as devotion to remarkable hospitality and culinary excellence. This has made guests coming back for more. As to how we came up with the name of the restaurant, it is actually a tribute to the owner's mother as she is the chief chef!
Deliciously rich and earthly, Peranakan dishes are fusion between Chinese and Malay cuisine. We suggest you try out the all time favorites such as the hot and spicy Nonya Laksa, Beef Rendang, Chicken Buah Keluak and Ngoh Hiang (Pork Shrimp Roll).
Hainanese cuisine is light and subtle in flavor. Mum uses mild seasoning in her cooking and emphasizes the "wok" flavor. Her signature Hainanese dishes include Hainanese Chicken Rice, Stir Fried Chicken and Pineapple, Singapore Fried Rice, Lamb Stew, Fish Maw Soup and Seafood Tung Hoon.
Using only the finest ingredients, you can trust us that you will be treated to a truly Peranakan and Hainanese gastronomy.
We know how much My Mum's Cuisine holds a special place in the heart of the diners. An ever-increasing following of loyal foodie is a testimony of your devotion. To this, we thank you for your patronage and your trust in us. Our greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that you enjoy our food and that you get value for your money. Meanwhile, we will continue to cook more lip smacking dishes to tantalize your taste buds. Enjoy!
