Since the 1970s, the Cheo family had been dealing with live seafood supplies to restaurants and private individuals. From deep sea fishing to running a floating fish farm near Pulau Ubin at the eastern side of Singapore, we have come a long way to now, starting a restaurant serving up dishes prepared from the live stocks we supply.
Managed by siblings, Ocean Kingdom is a family run restaurant aiming to bring fresh and good quality seafood to more seafood lovers at affordable prices, extending our involvement with the sea.
We are situated at an old and nostalgic location at a quiet corner of Joo Chiat Road and yet just a minutes' walk from the busy main road of East Coast Road where the new Katong Mall sits, offering convenient dining for shoppers and nearby residents. We simply love the aged and rustic look of our restaurant which was an old bungalow house built decades ago as it reminds us of our childhood days where we grew up running around wooden fish farms and kelongs. Many of our customers love it too.
