Opened in June 2003, Whitebait & Kale was conceived by owner Keith Loh, whose aim was to offer food-lovers a venue that combines quality food, casual dining and effortless style. The full-service contemporary restaurant prides itself on serving fresh, honest comfort food is complemented by a self-service deli, bar and wine shop.
Conveniently located on the fringe of the city just behind Orchard Road, Whitebait & Kale is a gem tucked away at the iconic Camden Centre, built in 2001 by renowned architect Richard Meier.
The fluid and open space, spread over 3,000+ square feet, includes the restaurant’s indoors dining space, al fresco area decked with wooden benches and lazy Adironack chairs, and a low-seating bar. Detailing such as cool marble tabletops and nautical-blue fabrics with white-piping to the whitewashed floorboard brings to mind the inviting and intimate atmosphere of a summer beach house, while the oversized lighting, huge mirrors and black chalkboards add charm to the stylish chic space.
